I’ll be performing the Stabat Mater, by Antonin Dvorak on the final concert of this year’s Ovations! concert series at First Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Michigan.

This is a free concert!!

For the next couple of weeks I’ll be in the orchestra pit for Michigan Opera Theatre’s production of La Rondine (The Swallow). There isn’t a whole lot for the trumpets to do in this opera, but it’s still some great music!

We’ll be closing out our subscription season in Flint this month with a performance of Debussy’s La Mer. The program was originally set to include selections from The Discovery of Brazil, by Villa-Lobos, but a snafu with the music publisher has made that impossible, and it’s been bumped to next season.

I’ll be performing Mozart’s Requiem this week for Good Friday at Christ Church Grosse Pointe.

I’ll be performing with the Metropolitan Detroit Chorale for their spring Masterworks concert. The concert program includes three works by John Rutter: Five Orchestral Meditations, Distant Land, and The Mass for the Children, though there are no trumpets on the Meditations.

The Flint Symphony Orchestra’s March concert will continue in the theme of “The Wonder of it All: The Majesty of Nature through the Grandeur of Music”. This is the full program:

I’ll be playing with the Ann Arbor Symphony this week on their Family Concerts. We’ll be doing Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, as well as the world premier of Stop, Drop and Listen, by local composer Elizabeth Kelly.
