MSU Alumni Band Tour

We’ve just returned from a whirlwind tour of the Canadian Rockies with the Michigan State University Alumni Band.While I’m not technically an alum just yet, I’m close enough and they asked Lynne and I to come along as principal trumpet and oboe with the group. Early in the trip, which included Calgary, Lake Louise, Banff, Kamloops and Vancouver, we performed at the Chateau Lake Louise Hotel (where we also stayed the night).
Of course, we were all just a bit distracted by the view in the other direction as we played:
Lynne and I had a wonderful time on the trip and especially enjoyed meeting and getting to know so many great people in the band! I’ll put a selection of photos from the trip online as soon as I can, but I’m currently working on several projects which are taking up a lot of my time, so it may be a month or so before I get it done.
