Bob Ward and I headed down to hike the Skinner Ridge trail. While the signs at the entry road clearly said the beach was open until sundown, the ranger stopped us on the way in and said it was closed. After some pleading she allowed us to head in and "go in and look quick and head right back out." It was incredibly windy.
